Neatly tucked away under an old railway arch in the heart of london lives Bala Baya. The excentric and vibrant Tel Avivian restaurant. Born out of the dream of the even more, excentric and vibrant, chef Eran Tibi.
The challenge was to capture the feeling of chutzpah and balagan—Yiddish terms for audacity and chaos, that are core to the brand’s ethos.
The photoshoot aimed to capture the feeling of civilized debauchery. Using a stereoscopic camera images convey movment and depth. This added to the feeling of being part of party. Captured on film with high contrast, the images feel personal and authetic. This gives a feeling of energy and excitement to the restaurant that reflects the brand’s personality.
